A Planning Consultancy for Essex, London, Suffolk and the South-East
Based in Essex, our planning consultants, led by Andrew Ransome, provide planning consultancy services throughout the UK, with a particular focus on the areas of Essex, Suffolk, Kent, Sussex and London.
Our Planning Approach
The planning process can be difficult to navigate and our knowledgeable planning consultants are on hand to guide you through the planning process, with clear and professional advice and guidance.
Our Planning Consultancy Services
Some of our planning services include:
Planning advice and strategy - At the start of each project, we will devise a planning strategy for gaining a favourable planning outcome. This strategy will explore timescales, planning risks and opportunities. To find out more about this service, click here.
Land promotion - We have successfully promoted many sites through the local development plan process, leading these sites to becoming part of the local planning authority’s spatial strategy and adopted site allocations.
Planning applications - We will act as the project lead throughout the planning application process. We will prepare the necessary document to support the application, and will manage other necessary third party consultants. Once we have submitted the planning application, we will undertake the necessary negotiations and proceedings with the local planning authority, and key stakeholders through to a decision.
Other applications types - There are several other planning applications types from certificate of lawfulness applications, which are often used to ascertain whether an existing or proposed use is permitted development, to prior approval applications, which are often used to extend some existing buildings or to change the use of an existing building. We can advise on these application types and prepare and submit the applications.
Public consultation - Our team has extensive experience of carrying out public consultation events in support of planning applications and development projects. This includes communicating directly with local stakeholders and members of the public.
Planning appeals - If planning permission has been refused, there is a right of appeal to the Planning Inspectorate. We can advise on the best planning appeal route. We will draw on our planning knowledge, including our access to case law and planning precedents to construct a robust and persuasive appeal submission to justify the development. To find out more about planning appeals, click here.
Planning enforcement - The threat of enforcement action must be taken seriously. Once an enforcement notice takes effect, options will become limited. We will advise on the most appropriate form of action to take to resolve the dispute with the local planning authority.
