Farmyard Redevelopment in Layer-De-La-Haye, Essex

A D P secured planning permission for the demolition of the existing farm buildings and the erection 4 no. detached bungalow dwellings. The site had a rural character, set amongst open field and agricultural land. We developed a design strategy that embraced this rural setting. We put forward a development form influenced by the traditional farmyard complex. This included buildings with a simple form, drawing reference to the form of barns and agricultural buildings.
