Brewery Conversion and Redevelopment, West Bergholt

We designed and secured planning consent for the mixed-use conversion and redevelopment of the Truman’s Brewery in West Bergholt, Essex.

The extensive brewery and maltings complex contained a Grade II Listed two and a half storey malthouse. We designed a sympathetic conversion that retained the historic features and charm of the building. Part of this building was converted to residential use, with the other part being converted into shared office space.

These shared offices have created a vibrant and successful business hub within the village for micro and small businesses. A number of different types of businesses have and continue to operate from this building, including our very own, as our offices are located here.
