Office to Residential Change of Use, Colchester

We were asked to secure consent for the change of use of an office to a residential use, with appropriate alterations to the building. This property did not meet the criteria under Class O of the General Permitted Development Order (2015) and as such a full planning application was required.

The local planning policies resist the loss of office space. We therefore put forward a well evidenced case that set out the material considerations to justify the change of use to a residential use and the planning application was approved.
