The Emerging Development Plan
Babergh District Council and Mid Suffolk District currently share council functions and have developed a close relationship. Using this combined approach, these councils are now preparing a joint local plan and have already consulted on their preferred options document. This document identifies a need to deliver 7,500 new homes across the settlements of Babergh by 2036, with Sudbury and Hadleigh being the focus for much of this growth.
